The week started with Vuelta Cantabria, which we already talked about in another publication, where Daniel Mellado, along with the whole team, performed a great performance being the Catalan runner 3rd in the general classification.

In Volta Valencia, again the Catalan runner made a great race. A hard lap, marked by the 21-kilometer individual time clock, increased the overall differences. The Volta Valencia has been the last stage test of the 2019 season and, in general, the assessment has been very positive.

Back to Aragonese lands, the race at Tamarite de la Litera began an important weekend for the Criterium Cup. As Adrián Barceló pointed out, the test in Tamarite would end up being selective and a getaway would end up reaching the finish line with the presence of Héctor Lorén and Enrique Herrero. Shortly after finishing, a fall affected Lorén depriving him of any possible dispute. Herrero entered sixth position making it possible to obtain the jersey of the Cup leader by adding the points obtained in Barbastro.

The next day, in Calatayud, the team was lucky. Several falls affected different runners and only Antonio Montón could opt for the test dispute.

Adrián Barceló stressed: “I am very happy for the leadership of the Criterium Cup by Quique. He is a hardworking runner and always willing to help any teammate; Little by little, during the season it has been improving and this jersey is a prize for its constancy. We will fight to keep the jersey until the end. ”
