Three races ahead during this weekend for La Tova - Asesud Almudévar:
- I Chronoescalada to Montearagón Castle
–LXXV Grand Prix “Villa de Binefar”
–XC Alsasua Cycling Test
On Saturday at 10 o'clock the 3-kilometer chronoescalada will begin, proof that it opens in the Aragonese calendar with a format very similar to the I Crosoescalada of La Muela.
That same afternoon, in Binefar, new scoring test for the Criterium Cup. The route, especially revirado, has 1.3 kilometers that cyclists must give, approximately, 36 laps completing a total of 47 kilometers.
The last day, in Navarre lands, the last event of the Euskaldun Tournament will take place. The race will start at 10 am and has a 123-kilometer route marked by the five steps along the Alto de Altamira (km 12.8, 36, 58, 79.6 and 101.4). The race is expected to end at 13; 10, according to organizer.
Adrián Barceló, team manager, told us: “This weekend we finished the Euskaldun Tournament, a very important test for any elite cyclist - sub 23. We went with a good team full of confidence after the last results in Vuelta Cantabria and Volta Valencia.
The day before we have two tests very close to the headquarters of the team. The chronoscalada route is well known to cyclists in the area and we are aware of the importance of taking the top positions of the classification to show off the sponsors of the area.
In Binefar we will defend the jersey of Quique Herrero as leader of the Cup; it will be complicated because there are very fast runners but we will try our best to get it. ”
