PIEDMONT TOUR PYRENEAN 2018

The team faces this Friday the Tour de Piémont Pyrénéen 2018. A return of international level with Belgian, Spanish and French teams. After the absence of last year, the team returns to Piémont.

The Tour is composed of three stages, the first being a double sector. The first stage will start from the town of Lacq at 9:30 to face a 91-kilometer route with three mountain passes located at kilometer points 4.7, 50.1 and 75.9.

With hardly any rest, on Friday afternoon the second stage will begin, a 13-kilometer team time trial.

On Saturday, the race will move to Laruns, at 12:50 the start of the Tour de Piémont 2018 will begin. Cyclists will have to complete 143.8 kilometers with four mountain passes located at 25.1, 66.6, 112.1 and 121.8 kilometers. Highlighting the last two mountain passes: Col du Sulor and Col d'Aubisque, same end of stage as the Tour de France this year in stage 19.

Finally, the fourth stage will start from Morlaas and end at Bosdarros. Repeating the schedule of the previous day's stage, the stage will begin at 12:50 to make 132.5 kilometers of travel and four mountain passes located at kilometers 28.5, 49.3, 89.1 and 109.3.

Equipos

For this race the team will be formed by: Duban Cardona, Adrián García, Albert Gómez, Lorién Tosat and two reinforcements. Hector Lorén was a team rider for two years and very knowledgeable about this test, which is why he is expected to contribute that extra veteran. The team will also have a runner in a great state of form, 2nd place in the past GP San Lorenzo, as is Felix Molina.

On the other hand, some team riders will compete in the Basque Country and Catalonia. Sergio Domínguez will participate in the Summer Criterium, a test consisting of 3 scoring races for the Lehendakari Trophy.

Nacho Ara will participate in the 9è Trofeu Carlos Ferran in Reus on Sunday 26 and Tuesday 28 in the 69th Volta Ciclista al Montsià in Ulldecona.
