The La Tova - Asesud Almudévar team will play three races this weekend: XXIII Cycling Tour of the Province of Alicante, 7th Isaac Galvez Classics and IX Peña los Conejos Cycling Club Trophy.
On Friday, May 18, the first round of the team's stages will begin in the 2018 season, three stages and 461 kilometers to go.
The first stage will begin in Alicante and end in Orihuela with 158 kilometers, the second stage will depart from San Bartolomé and end in La Nucia with 148.5 and finally, on Sunday the last stage will start from the Alicante town of Pilar de la Horadada ending in Elche with 156.6 kilometers (road book).
For this occasion the selected runners have been Néstor Bielsa, Germán Castel, Antonio García, Albert Gómez, Sergio Pérez and Lorién Tosat.
On the other hand and without leaving the Mediterranean coast, on Saturday the 7th Classical Isaac Gálvez will play a scoring race for the Catalan Grand Classics. A journey of 128 kilometers with departure at 15:30 from the town of Vilanova i la Geltrú (Tarragona). For this occasion Iulen Beltrán, Sergio Domínguez and Adrián García will attend.
Finally, on Sunday the IX Peña los Conejos Cycling Club Trophy will be played in Villanueva de Gállego (Zaragoza), punctuated for the Master Aragon Cup. A 97.70 kilometer route with three mountain passes and two flying meters, the test will begin at 10 am and its completion is planned at 12: 37-12: 50.
For these three tests Adrián Barceló commented “The team faces three competition events in the next few days, on the one hand we have the Vuelta Alicante, the first round of stages of this season that we are looking forward to, this round is the first of the three laps we run in less than a month and we would like to start off on the right foot. On Saturday three sub 23 will run the 7th Clàssica Isaac Gálvez where they are expected to accumulate kilometers of quality and finally, on Sunday the IX Los Conejos Trophy where last year the team made a good performance getting the victory with Héctor and second place Nestor, we will try as much as possible to try equally the great result of last year. ”
