From the first moment, the runners of Team La Tova - Asesud Almudévar were present in the leaks with Germán Castel and Enrique Herrero, with the passage of the kilometers the test was hardening reducing the number of runners of the main squad. Finally, he entered alone winning the Manuel Ponce test (MVK * 25), at 18 ”a chasing group entered with Nacho Ara (10th race and 2nd elite) and Néstor Bielsa (17th race and 3rd elite). Adrián Barceló told us: “We are happy with the result but not satisfied, we had the idea of winning in one of the championships but in the end it could not be, the races are like that. But we are also very happy with how the team worked, all the runners have supported each other and have done a great team work, highlighting the runners that came from major injuries. ”

On the other hand, the team began on Thursday, September 6, the last lap of the 2018 season, the Volta Valencia, a tough test along with the best teams on the national scene.

The Volta began with a flat stage where the day's escape was neutralized a few kilometers from the finish line and Sebastián Mora (Gsport) was imposed in the massive sprint, by La Tova - Almudévar Consulting, the majority of runners entered the main squad.

The second day was, without a doubt, the queen stage. A total of six ascents and an adverse weather made a dent in the corridors, only three runners from La Tova managed to finish: Lluís Ropero, Javier Montaner and Albert Gómez. Antonio García was one of the first runners to get out of control for a very short time.

The Volta was completed with an individual time trial on Saturday and a circuit on Sunday, where the three riders of the team finished the race.

Adrián Barceló told us: “We are very happy with this edition of the Volta, a very complete race due to its different stages. We have achieved a 14th team position that fills us with pride given the great hardness and the few runners who managed to finish the queen stage. Throughout the Volta we have been in our place, leaking into some leaks and trying to make a great race. ”
